Mike at work sent us all an email with this Javascript hack. It doesn’t do anything dangerous - just makes the images dance around in a circle. It didn’t work on Firefox for me - just IE.
Step 1: Visit any website (with images)
Step 2: Erase the website URL from the address line
Step 3: Type in
javascript:R=0; x1=.1; y1=.05; x2=.25; y2=.24; x3=1.6; y3=.24; x4=300; y4=200; x5=300; y5=200; DI=document.images; DIL=DI.length; function A(){for(i=0; i-DIL; i++){DIS=DI[ i ].style; DIS.position=’absolute’; DIS.left=Math.sin(R*x1+i*x2+x3)*x4+x5; DIS.top=Math.cos(R*y1+i*y2+y3)*y4+y5}R++}setInterval(’A()’,5); void(0);
Step 4: Hit enter.
An interesting sidebar was when I wanted to find out more about this hack. Searching for it in Google got me nowhere, basically because it wasn’t news on big important sites, and didn’t have enough incoming links.
So I searched the social networking sites: digg and technorati, and found it easily through the searchbar on technorati.
This should be a lesson to Google - they’re not all that useful for fresh information. Technorati has promoted itself well, as the place to go to find out what people are talking about RIGHT NOW.
